All attendees must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age with valid photo government ID and sign upon conference check-in a Hold Harmless agreement to attend Black BEAT 2008. Attendees must read the Rules and Guidelines that govern this event before attending. NO EXCEPTIONS.

Black BEAT 2008, its staff, its members, nor sponsors of the conference or any conference-related events shall be responsible or liable for any claims, actions, damages, costs or expenses arising out of any transaction or occurrence that takes place in a private hotel room or between private parties attending the conference.

DRESS CODE AND CONDUCT

No nudity, fully exposed breast, nipples, or genitals are permitted in the hotel conference areas. All dress must remain "vanilla" ; acceptable street attire and/or casual clothing inside and outside of Black BEAT 2008 hotel areas. Violation of the Dress Code may result in an attendee being denied entry to Black BEAT 2008 conference areas and absolutely no refund of any fees previously paid will be returned. All pre-registered convention attendees will be issued a conference badge, which they must wear at all times while in the Conference areas, during all lectures, events, banquets, and parties.

ALCOHOL AND DRUGS

Absolutely No drugs or alcoholic beverages are allowed in conference areas, lectures or workshops, main conference areas, hotel common areas (outside the bar) motor coach or dungeon. Anyone who appears to be intoxicated or under the influence of alcohol or drugs will be denied entry to any and all conference events and no refund of any fees previously paid will be returned.

PHOTOGRAPHY

Photography is not allowed by any attendee during the duration of the conference. Video/cell phone cameras will NOT be allowed within the event, this includes but not limited to the pre conference event, hotel hallways, hotel exterior, bar area and the dungeon without prior expressed written consent. Black BEAT, Inc. reserves the right to remove and/or deny further admission to the conference and/or to any or all of its events to anyone using a video or camera without prior expressed written consent. Anyone who violates this rule maybe asked to leave the conference immediately and forfeit any refund of conference registration fees previously paid. Black BEAT, Inc. reserves the exclusive rights to all photography and photographs by it's staff photographer, no exceptions. Any photo taken for the sole purpose of the Black BEAT, Inc. archives are exclusive property of the Black BEAT, Inc. organization and will not be displayed online unless a signed photo release is obtained by the person(s) in the photograph.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

By entering into the conference site, attendees agree and understand that BLACK BEAT 2008, its members, its staff, its temporary employees, co-sponsors of the conference or any conference-related events are not responsible or liable for any claim, action, damages, costs or other expenses including, but not limited to, personal injury, wrongful death, or property damage suffered by any attendee during the course of the conference.

Without exception, all conference activity shall take place within designated areas of the facility or in private rooms.

Conference badges will be given to everyone registering for Black BEAT 2008. Conference badges must be presented upon any request made by any member of Black BEAT 2008, its staff, volunteers, and convention management or management of the venue where a Black BEAT 2008 related event is being held. Badges will be required from all seeking to enter into any conference events. No one will be admitted into the conference or parties without a valid badge.

Black BEAT, Inc. reserves the right to remove and/or deny admission to the convention and/or to any or all of its events if we reasonably believe that a person is disruptive or presents a danger to the well being of the other attendees of the conference. If anyone is so removed from the conference, no refund of any fees previously paid shall be returned. Reentry to the conference also will not be allowed.

Black BEAT, Inc. grants the venue authority to have any disruptive person (or persons) removed from the premises. In the event of such action being taken, there will be absolutely no refund of any fees previously paid.

As per Maryland law, smoking is not allowed within any public indoor venue. Smoking is permitted outside of all venues in areas designated for smoking Flammable liquids of any kind are not permitted in the conference areas or hotel or banquet facilities.

All persons who participate in any Workshop or Demo during the convention weekend shall be required to execute a Release prepared by Black BEAT 2008 which shall expressly provide, among other things, that participants in any workshop or demonstration release and discharge Black BEAT Inc. from liability, its members, agents, employees, representatives, associates, and owners for any and all claims and demands arising from the participants involvement in the workshop or demo including claims for damages, costs, expenses relating to personal injury, property damage or wrongful death. No one will be permitted to perform a demo or participate in a workshop without having first executed the required Release.

RELEASE AND DISCHARGE FROM LIABILITY AGREEMENT - By voluntarily participating in the conference and/or attending a demo or workshop at Black BEAT 2008, I the attendee and/or participant do hereby release and discharge from any and all liability, Black BEAT 2008, its members, agents, employees, representatives, associates, convention staff, and hotel/venue owners, its members, agents,employees, representatives, associates, owners, and corporation, as well as the class instructor/demonstrator for any and all claims and demands arising from the participants involvement in the Workshop or Demonstration including claims for damages, costs, medical expenses, expenses relating to personal injury, property damage, or wrongful death. I further agree that anything taught or demonstrated during any workshop or demonstration has been done by professionals in their field, and should not be re-created or attempted without first understanding the proper safety measures. Furthermore, if I do attempt to recreate anything I have been shown or taught, I personally accept all risk and liability for any claims for damages, costs, medical expenses, expenses relating to personal injury, property damage, or wrongful death that could possibly occur and release from liability any and all parties listed above. By signing my legal name on the Rules and guidelines agreement upon registration, I, the participant and/or attendee, do hereby agree to all of the terms stated within this release and discharge the above named from any and all liability. Full Access Pre-Registered Attendees of Black BEAT 2008 must wear their badge to gain admission to any and all events scheduled by Black BEAT 2008 in conjunction with the conference.

Black BEAT 2008 reserves the right to alter, add, or modify any and/or all of these Rules and Regulations at it's sole discretion.
